Cuddles is a very professional yet personal agency. We offer interviews not only from our base but can also meet you at a more convenient location. We offer an out of hours service which means we can meet you perhaps after work or on weekends. We have great jobs available with competitive prices mainly based in London although are looking to expand nationwide.
Absolutely. Cuddles will be in touch with you in the first month of your placement and more if required. Should a situation arise where it may be helpful for you or your employers to have a third party liaise, then it can be arranged for a Cuddles Consultant to meet with you and your employers.
Hopefully following the interview and contract signing process, you will have gained a good idea of what it will be like to work for your employers. However, if during your 8 weeks probation period you or your employers feel that you are unable to continue with your position, then both parties will be required to give 1 weeks notice. After 8 weeks of employment this notice period will increase to a length that will be stipulated in your contract.
The frequency and method of payment will be organised directly between you and your employers. Cuddles urge that this be discussed and confirmed prior to the position starting.
Your employers (the Parents) will pay this for you on your behalf.
Yes, all full-time employees are entitled to 4 weeks annual leave and statutory holidays. Prior to the commencement of your position, discuss with your employers how much notice you need to give when you want to take a holiday. You may also want to discuss what would happen, should your employer give you more than 4 weeks holiday. For those working on a part-time or temporary basis, you will also be entitled to paid holiday which will be worked out on a pro-rata basis and should again be discussed prior to contract signing.
This is very much dependant on your age, experience and qualifications. An outline on how much Childcare Professionals are paid is given on our web-site under “Childcare costs and responsibilites"
If you are employed as a Nanny/ Maternity Nurse you will be responsible for Nursery Duties (basically anything to do with the Children i.e. clothing, toys, feeding, changing the childs bed and keeping their bathroom tidy etc). If your employers require you to do anything beyond what can reasonably be described as “nursery duties", it must be mutually agreed and written in your contract prior to signing. If you are employed as an Au Pair or Doula then you will be required to participate more with the household chores and the general running of the house. Again these duties should be stipulated in the contract and agreed prior to job starting.
We get jobs based all over London. It is at your discretion where you would like to work and this will be discussed with a Cuddles Consultant at the initial interview.
Cuddles will always discuss positions with you prior to sending your C.V to prospective employers. We will only put you forward for positions that we feel would suit your needs and experience. It will be at your discretion if you would like to accept a position when it is offered.
